2011 Thankful list concludes

Nov 26th: Thankful that the banging down the hall... Evidence that the bathroom project has begun... Even if it does make studying tax law sources much more difficult. :)
Nov 27th: Thankful for a beautiful four day weekend, ending with a restful Lord's day.

Nov 28th: Thankful for an awesome employer!

Nov 29th: Thankful that, pass or not, my exam is over and I can relax just a little.

Nov 30th: Thankful that 32 years ago today, the Lord saw fit to bless my in-laws with the wonderful blessing that is my husband! He is my best friend, my rock, my sounding board, my lover, and my biggest cheerleader. Happy birthday, baby!!

Nov 21st: Thankful for my Lord and Saviour, who walks every step ahead of me and knows that I can handle what he's placed before me!
Nov 22nd: Thankful for a good LASIK consult!

Nov 23rd: Thankful for an awesome boss who decided on the spur of the moment to send us home early.

Nov 24th: Thankful for a great lunch and visit with in-laws, and great in-laws to boot.

Nov 25th: Thankful for the day off to study. Now if the website would just decide to work again. Thankful, also, that I have the physical book so I can do it the old fashioned way if I have to. :)

Nov 14th: Thankful for the opportunity to take the CPA exam, and people who believe in me no matter how much I stress.

Nov 15th: Thankful for the smell of newly painted walls. :)

Nov 16th: Thankful that what must have been a tornado at 5:20ish this morning passed right by us! No power and trees down all over the place on the road to work, but Thank the Lord, we're safe.
 
Nov 17th: Thankful for the abundance of work that proves that I am well and gainfully employed.

Nov 18th: Thankful for great co-workers and red velvet birthday cake! :)

Nov 19th: Thankful for a husband that will finish the house as opposed to buy rock parts... even when I want him to buy rock parts.

Nov 20th: Thankful that today is my 30th birthday! Eight months ago, the thought of turning 30 with no children was overwhelming, but God in his grace (and with the love of those around me) has given me peace. As with many things in my 30 years, I look back and see the truth the Lord spoke through Jeremiah (29:11)... "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Thank you, Lord, for 30 years of your grace. May I be blessed with many more!

Getting dressed early to vote on the way to work, and borrowing today's Thankful post (Tabitha Taylor Ray).
Nov 8th: "Thankful for the women and men who stood up for me when there were those who said my little lady brain was too small and frail to vote. I will honor them and my country today by voting."
 
Nov 9th: Thankful for people gifted in the art of massage therapy and chiropractic care. They make my world so much better.

Nov 10th: Thankful for sisters who mail AWESOME birthday presents!

Nov 11th: Thankful for the many men and women who have served our country in the armed forces. (Especially for my grandfather, Frank's granddad, and Uncle Frank, who are/were WWII veterans.) The world is a better place because of the sacrifices you made!

Nov 12th: Thankful for safe travels and God's blessing of protection. Driving down the interstate can be more dangerous than we think.

Nov 13th: Thankful for the wonderful 'little' brother the Lord gave me. May he have an awesome birthday!

Nov 5th: Thankful for the blessing of new life, and awesome friends who let us share in the joy and the fun!

Nov 6th: Thankful for a husband who will move furniture to reduce my stress level. :)

Nov 7th: Thankful for friends, new and old, that continuously bless my heart and soul. Thank you, Lord!

Thankful list

Ever since our first Thanksgiving, post wedding, we have tried to make a list in November of the things we are thankful for. Sometimes we do it as the month progresses, sometimes we do it Thanksgiving day. Either way it forces us to think about things in our lives that sometimes go unnoticed in the hustle and bustle, i.e. we take them for granted often.
This year someone started something very similar on Facebook, so I decided I'd use that option this year. For posterity's sake though, I'm going to post them to the blog as well.

To catch up, here's Nov 1, 2, and 3... 
Nov 1st: Thankful for the husband sleeping next to me, who preheated my side of the bed while I studied late. [Nov 29th (test day) will get here too soon]   posted at 9:32pm

Nov 2nd: Thankful for a job where I'm valued for my strengths and not belittled for my shortcomings. Thank you, Lord.

Nov 3rd: Thankful that no matter what others do we can make a choice to let it rule us, or we can make a choice to change our circumstances!

Post for today will come later. I'm trying to wait until evening, so I can reflect if needed... and after yesterday reflection is a good thing. It puts life in perspective and us in our place... smack dab in the middle of the hands of God!
