Already in Motion

So, I meant to write this earlier and the day got away... But now, I can't sleep. So, here it is...

Do you get anxious or worried easily? Often?

Last night's devotion, from "Taste and See: Savoring the Supremacy of God in all of Life", was about such things, and Piper brought to light an idea I'd never pondered before.

We know that God has a plan for our lives and we trust that. He is in control of all, and thus we really have no need to worry.

However, we're humans and we often worry. Because we know it's sin, when we realize we are worrying, we confess and try to leave our issues in God's hands. That's often really hard, especially if it's something that can possibly have major consequences.

Piper's insight, hopefully, will effect this sinful human's reaction the next time she catches herself worrying. Here it is... When we see that there is a reason to be anxious or worry, God has ALREADY placed a plan in motion to deal with the issue/situation!

Ponder on that for a moment. See if it doesn't significantly effect your worry habit.
